Bank of America Feeling Woes

Bank of America planned to charge its customers a $5 monthly convenience fee for using thier debit cards.  Thus bringing an uproar of angered customers.  Although other banks have considered doing the same, they were quick to back down when they foresaw the outcome.  Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) stated, "They overreached.  It was customer reaction, there was competitor reaction, and there was congressional reaction."  According to Progressive Change Campaign Committee, over 21,000 Bank of America customers have signed up for an event to be held on Saturday to move their money elsewhere.
